Road Racing
Road Racing is fast, furious, and tactical and covers a range of different event types from evening criterium racing to multi-day stage races on open and closed roads. NFCC are proud to have Members at the core of a number of local events helping develop the grassroots of local bike racing.
There is plenty of access to road racing in our area and a growing number of Club Members who take part. British Cycling regulated events take place throughout the year at venues such as Goodwood Motor Circuit, Mountbatten Velodrome, Thruxton Motor Circuit and even Winchester Park ‘n’ Ride, where you’ll usually find a few riders in red and green jerseys. There’s a number of ‘classic’ local races held each year with Primavera and the Sandisons 2-day on the list. Other event regulators such as TLI host events locally including the Bournemouth Cycleworks Moreton Race Series and the Beaulieu Heath Race Series (Currently postponed indefinitely) throughout the summer.
