Club TT Report 11th August
A mixture of heavy traffic, heat, and forest wildlife met the riders for last night’s race, with all riders suffering some sort of delay and Bobby Buenfeld adding a few seconds with a slight wrong turn at the triangle.
Generally a quiet course, the P170 suffered from a mix of holiday traffic and a severely jammed A31 and A35, with people taking alternative routes across the forest. Fortunately that didn’t stop Mike Akers setting a good time of 22.54 and sealing another win. Adam Mitchell was second, knocking last week’s second place rider Ben Schooling down to third. Ray Claridge claimed fourth with a tie for fifth between junior Bobby Buenfeld and David Pinney.
The start time of 18.30 confused some, as the Facebook page had initially said 19:00, modified a few days before. All riders made it to the start line, though a few just barely even with a 5 minute delay.
