Usual meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst where we will split the group into smaller pelotons as appropriate.

As I have for the last few weeks, I’m gradually increasing the length of the club ride and this week another small stretch to 101Km and a ride out of the forest and back to one of our favourite routes along the Chalke Valley. Judging by some of the “gratuitous extra miles” added by some last week the base fitness is returning to some of the group. Before the coffee stop at Broad Chalke it looks like a long slog from Sandleheath through Rockbourne and onto Coombe Bissett into a stiff north easterly wind. So please bring a sense of humour and a willingness to share the load on the front.
