Weather forecast at the time of planning for Saturday is for high winds. This crosses the threshold for a safe peloton style ride. Luckily, we are blessed with a number of gravel paths through the forest so this week it’s a Gravel / MTB ride. All bikes welcome, we’ll make the pace suit whatever machinery people are on so don’t feel excluded if you haven’t got a super fast gravel bike. The speedy riders will do more gate opening duties for the slower riders and it all works well.

Usual meet at 0850 for an 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. I suspect some will join us on the old railway as we head west so if you are please let me know on Spond so I can let the café know how many to expect. Route is notionally planned for 93KM but is subject to change as I might not have picked all the right paths, and we will stick to the marked paths only as per club policy. We may also have things like forestry works / fallen trees to deal with so it’s flexible.
