Race report: P164/10 11-05-21
If for nothing more than a recurring theme to these race reports, it was the wind that once again caused havoc for riders on the much-loved P164 circuit this evening. A strong south-westerly, with gusts of over 40mph (windy.com), made all but the second leg of the course a true test of bike handling balanced with power.
Henry Lloyd-Williams’ form seems to be improving week on week as he took his first overall victory at a Club TT, finishing in 23:13. Ted Ward (a couple of weeks until he is 17) had an outstanding ride and took second place with a 23:27 and it was once again Phill Brown continuing his streak of third place finishes (three weeks in a row now!) rounding off the top three with a 24:13. The smiles and thanks before departure all seemed to indicate everyone had a good time and we look forward to seeing everyone back on the same course next week for a 15m.
Thanks as always to the marshals, timekeepers, Budge on signs, Gerry on the camera and Margaret for keeping a watchful eye over everyone.
