Wessex CX 23/24: Rd.4 – Reading
The Bill Higson Memorial CX was Round 4 of The South Downs Wessex League hosted by Reading CC at Prospect Park.
A tough course was laid out including long power-sapping grassy drags, fast single track and the infamous “Hilly McHill Face” a steep slippery climb and “The Chute” a steep, slippery, fast decent.
Billy no mates, Jay Tarrant was the only NFCC member in attendance and had a “yo yo” race getting passed on the long drags then overtaking his fellow competitors in the more technical sections of the course to cross the finish line in 7th.
A week off before the next round at Southampton on the 15th of October.
