Weekly Round-up: 20 November 2022
All the latest news, events, and results from NFCC Members from this week’s two-wheeled adventures…
With dark evenings drawing in, it seems midweek activities are on the decrease, but if you do find yourself out and about representing NFCC, don’t forget to jot down a few words, snap a few photos and send them over to press@newforestcc.co.uk.
Saturday Club RideSixteen rides made the start in Brockenhurst for this week’s Saturday Club Ride with noticeably chilly conditions to start the day. Splitting into two groups, riders made their way out of Brock towards Burley and had to take an early diversion around a cattle grid being replaced on Station Road. Passing through Burley and Ringwood, a quick loop of a few hillier lanes around Whitsbury left riders in Fordingbridge while making their way to The Potting Shed for a mid-ride refuel. Despite a serious dose cafe legs, an unnoticed tail-wind gave everyone a boost when making their way back across the top of the forest, through Lyndhurst, on to Beaulieu, then back to Brock. |
National Trophy CX Rd.4: TorbayCatherine Pascoe crossed the cattle girds and made her way to Torbay for round 4 of the National Trophy Cyclocross Series – find out how she got on by CLICKING HERE. |
Sunday Club RideAnother great turnout for this week’s Sunday Club Ride with enough to split the ride into to two groups – Phill Harris led the way for the first group with John Burridge taking up leadership duties in group two. A pleasant route for a sunny Sunday morning, leaving Brockenhurst via Rhinefield and skirting through the back of Burley before enjoying the quieter lanes around Bransgore – returning to Brock for coffee and cake at the end. |
Wessex CX League Rd.9: Andover SupercrossA league favourite, the annual event at Andover Supercross never fails to deliver a good day out getting muddy and racing bikes. Find out how the NFCC CX Team got on by CLICKING HERE. |
