The Chain Gang this week was scuppered by a sudden storm that hit Brockenhurst half an hour before the planned start. Only 4 riders were at the start and a decision was taken that the sudden downpour on roads that had been bone dry for several weeks were an unnecessary risk.
So the Chain Gang was cancelled and Neil, Russ, Rob and Barry decided on a social ride out to East Boldre / Beaulieu was a better bet and also helped avoid the traffic existing the New Forest Show.
Hope for better luck next week and as it will be August the start time will come forward to 1845.
