The New Forest Cycling Club

New Club Secretary

For those that couldn’t get to the AGM, there have been some committee changes. Minutes will be available soon, but I thought that I’d introduce you to Kelvin Pinchen; your new Club Secretary. As Stewart Ward stands down after a very successful tenure, here are a few words from Kelvin himself:

I have been associated with the New Forest for 45 years.

I raced for 15 years. From Juvenile through to Senior level mainly doing Time trials and cyclo-cross. I did try road racing but it was not my cup of tea.

I was an event secretary for a few open events during my racing period.

I was also the club secretary back in the 1980’s for 8 years.

Since then I have kept an eye on the club through some of the older club members, attending club dinners, other social events and have been marshalling when asked.

On a personal level I have been married for 37 years, have two grown up children and 5 grandchildren. I am keen dart player and follow AFC BOURNEMOUTH as a season ticket holder.
