A cool northerly wind and bright sunny conditions greeted 11 riders for the Balmer Lawn based 16 miler. Fastest round was visitor Andy Rivett, with a minute in hand over New Forest’s Ben Boardman. Barry Hards time was good enough to clinch the two event series overall. A couple of riders tackled the course on road bikes, but most were on their full TT machines. Richard Mason had the dubious pleasure of winning the ‘rear light warning’ prize as the club introduces its policy of ‘no working light, no ride’!
Ray Claridge and Stuart Peckham were in action in the Wessex Road Club 24 the latest in the Sigma Sport Classic series. Ray was 11th in the combined Vet/Female category and Stuart 19th.
