Clean sweep for Boardman as 10 season concludes

New Forest CC’s Ben Boardman swept all before him after his injury ravaged 2014 season. Ben remained undefeated in the 10 series that was shortened due to inclement weather during the summer. Ben’s final victory came on the P164 course from Boltons Bench to Beaulieu Road Station via Ipley Cross Roads circuit. Tuesday night provided wet humid conditions for the limited riders that participated in the event as many were put off by the cnditions. Ben was clear if the field by 1 minute and thirty seconds from habitual season runner up, Sasha Ring. Graham Lenton produced a season’s best placing in third ahead of 2014 Club Champion Stuart Peckham.

Although finishing third on the night, Peter Trunwit reigned in the Division 2 title race to be the deserved champion from runner up Alex Satchell. Phil Harris claimed the division victory on the night having recovered from his excellent effort in the recent RideLondon 100 event.

Richard Parker prevailed on the evening in Division three from Chris Mills, and Darren Ridge in third. Darren took the division three title with regular high finishes from Chris Mills and Peter Hawker completing the podium positions.

Paula Eardley held off stiff challenges from Clare Gronow and Catherine Pascoe, another RideLondon 100 participant, to win the Ladies Division.
