A very good evening on the course, traffic was light with a few donkeys for some, and a helpful tail wind up the dreaded finish climb. The event went ahead with marshals volunteering after a request on Facebook. Aron Kelly was fastest home with a 22:27, 30 seconds off Paul Lockyer’s time last year with the ‘downhill finish’. Ray Claridge was second with a 23:02, 14 seconds off his ‘downhill finish’ time from last year. Barry Hards just pipped Richard Parker for 3rd spot overall, in a good field of 24 riders with no DNFs. The course is set to continue with the hill top finish as it is safer, especially with the new traffic calming measures. At the tail end of the field, Peter Hawker was pleased to have beaten both George Weller and Chris Mills.
